With the ‘culla‘ baby cradle, a piece of family furniture with an ancient tradition has been reimagined. The idea behind this design was the desire to create a cradle body that is surrounded by a soft, slightly transparent cover that allows optimal air circulation.
This brought us to the development of a custom-manufactured technical knitted fabric, stretched over a steel frame for a perfect fit.
The possibility to create a constantly new appearance of the cradle by using a variety of coloured yarns supports the system idea of the design, which can be equipped with high and low cradle legs.
The cradle body is constructed so that it is easy to change and wash the knitted fabric.
